Landscapes of East Anglia and the Continent

Peter Burman began painting on a full time basis in 1964 and soon came to be regarded as one of East Anglia's finest landscape painters. His work has been exhibited in London since 1981 at the "Upstairs Gallery" at the Royal Academy and more recently at "John Martin Gallery" Albemarle Street and "Oakham Contemporary" St. James.
Peter works in the traditional manner, basing his oil paintings on watercolour sketches executed "en plein-air." Although best known for his views of East Anglia and the South Coast, his subjects also include Venice, Provence, Elba and many other parts of Europe. His work may be found in private and public collections both in this country and abroad.
